Noodling around on the Web today, I came across the photographic work of Christopher Griffith and thought I’d share the link here. The Web site design is great and the photos are extraordinary.
I especially liked his book States. But the entire site is well worth exploring.

Wow.
I found Christoper’s Web site listed in client examples on livebooks.com and found many visual treats looking at their Web portfolio. Enjoy.
New Livingston area Real Estate Market Snapshot on client Web site
April 19, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Gillian Swanson has added a new MLS Market Snapshot widget to her repertoire of tools available on her Web site and blog. The snapshot widget allows you to enter your interests (buying or selling, price range, et cetera) and then receive a customized view of the current Livingston real estate market. I signed up for it myself, even though I am not currently in the market. As a homeowner, I like to keep up with what is happening in the local market and the report helps me to do that, as does Gillian’s blog with its postings about hot new listings as well as insights into things like the economic stimulus package and the provisions that relate to the housing market.
As a Web designer, I feel fortunate to have clients doing so much to make their Web sites useful, and I get an early view of new features like Gillian’s.
“Trainmen, New and Recent Paintings by David Swanson” opens 4/10 at The Ecce Gallery
April 7, 2008 | Leave a Comment
One of my Web clients, David Swanson, has a show of new paintings at The Ecce Gallery in the Emerson Center, and I urge you to go see them. I’ve been very excited about the paintings since I saw them in progress in David’s studio last summer.
They represent something of a departure from previous work, but bring David back to one of the reasons he chose to live here in Livingston. “I love living in Livingston. Both Gillian [David’s wife] and I share an empathy for railroad towns. I like it that the railroad is a primary part of Livingston.”
You can see the work online at David’s Web site but seeing these large works (oil on canvas) in person is highly recommended. The opening reception is Thursday, 4/10 from 6 to 8 PM and will include a railroad poetry reading by Nate Robinson, music by Lonesome Dave and Bill Devine, and hors d’oeuvres, wine, and beer from The Emerson Grill. The show will hang through May 15, 2008. The Emerson Cultural Center is at 111 S Grand Ave, Bozeman.
